Where to spot
Breeds in Greenland, Iceland, and Svalbard, wintering almost exclusively in Great Britain, Ireland, and the Low Countries. Look for them in coastal areas and agricultural fields.

Identify by its relatively small size for a goose, dark head and neck contrasting with a paler grey body, and most distinctly, its pink bill and pink legs. They often form immense flocks, creating a spectacle.
