Where to spot
Forests across a wide range, from northeastern India and Bangladesh, through Southeast Asia including Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and into southern China.
How to spot
Approach quietly in dense forest habitats. Look for them foraging on the forest floor, often near clearings or along trails. Their distinctive calls can also help locate them from a distance.

Early mornings and late afternoons are prime times for observation; they can be observed year-round.
