Spotted
The Unicolored Thrush is a rare and localized thrush endemic to a small region of Bolivia. It is characterized by its plain, uniform olive-brown plumage, lacking distinct markings.
Where to spot
Humid foothill forests and Yungas forest of a small region in central Bolivia.
How to spot
Requires dedicated effort in its specific, often remote, forest habitat. Its plain plumage makes it hard to distinguish, so listening for its calls might be the best approach.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Best observed during early morning and late afternoon.
This thrush is considered vulnerable due to its very restricted range and the ongoing habitat degradation in the Andean foothills where it resides.
