Palm groves, savannas, and dry woodlands in a relatively small area of northeastern South America, primarily northern Brazil and parts of the Guyanas.

Listen for their extremely loud, piercing screams. Look for small to medium-sized flocks flying high overhead or feeding in fruiting palms and trees.

Year-round. Most active in the early morning and late afternoon when foraging in flocks.
