Where to spot
Lowland tropical forests, especially along rivers and streams, and mangrove forests throughout Southeast Asia, including the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo.
How to spot

The Black-and-red Broadbill often builds its large, pendant nest over water, which provides some protection from predators.
