The White-browed Fantail is a common and active fantail species found in parts of Indonesia. It is characterized by its prominent white supercilium, contrasting with its dark head and grey body.
Where to spot
Found in Java, Bali, and Sulawesi in Indonesia, inhabiting forests, woodlands, and gardens.
How to spot
Look for its clear white eyebrow stripe. Its restless, agile movements and constant tail-fanning are typical fantail behaviors. Listen for its high-pitched, scratchy calls.
When to spot
Active throughout the day, constantly moving and fanning its tail.
This fantail species is often found near water bodies, where it can easily snatch flying insects.
