Dense montane evergreen and temperate forests in the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia.
How to spot
Look for its vibrant colors moving through the mid-canopy or understory. Listen for its soft, melancholic song.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most active in the early morning and late afternoon.
