Montane forests of the Malay Peninsula, specifically in highland areas near fast-flowing water.
How to spot
Listen for its beautiful, fluty, whistling song. It can be challenging to see but often reveals itself by its calls.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most active vocally at dawn and dusk.
