Forests and disturbed woodlands on the island of Chuuk (Truk), Micronesia.
How to spot
Look for an entirely dull dark starling, often in the canopy or mid-story. Its uniform, non-glossy appearance and highly restricted range are key identifiers.

Year-round resident. Best observed during daylight hours.
The Uniform Starling's remarkably plain plumage, lacking any strong iridescence, sets it apart from most other Aplonis species, giving it its common name.
