Where to spot
Open habitats, farmlands, and forest edges in parts of mainland Southeast Asia, including Vietnam and Laos.
How to spot
Look for its contrasting pale or whitish head against a darker brown or gray body. Often seen foraging on the ground in open areas.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Active during daylight hours.
