A medium-sized myna with a grayish head and upperparts, a white belly, and a distinctive vinous or purplish wash on its breast. It is found in Southeast Asia.
Where to spot
Open woodlands, cultivated areas, and forest edges in Southeast Asia, including Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
How to spot
Look for its grayish head and back, contrasting with a white belly and a subtle vinous (purplish-reddish brown) wash on the breast.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Active during daylight hours, often seen foraging on the ground or in trees.
