The Rock Firefinch is a distinctive finch found in the rocky, arid habitats of Central Nigeria and northern Cameroon. Males are crimson red with a blue-grey crown and black belly.

Endemic to rocky inselbergs and arid hillsides in central Nigeria and northern Cameroon.

Target rocky habitats. Look for it foraging among rocks and sparse vegetation. The blue-grey crown and black belly against the red body are diagnostic for males.
