The Greater Necklaced Laughingthrush is a large, distinctive, and highly vocal species, easily recognized by a prominent black 'necklace' band across its breast. Listen intently for their loud, echoing, and often laughing calls, which are the primary way to locate them. Look for groups foraging in the forest undergrowth and mid-story. The black neck band is a key field mark.
