Where to spot
Inhabits primary and secondary tropical rainforests, dense bush, and forest edges in central Africa, including Cameroon, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
How to spot
Listen for its rapid, descending call. Look for subtle movements in the undergrowth, as they are often heard before they are seen due to their excellent camouflage.
When to spot
Most active during the cooler parts of the day, especially at dawn and dusk, when it is more likely to forage.
