Look for its dull brown wings contrasting with a more greyish body and a stout pale bill. Often found in small, active flocks, moving through dense bamboo. Listen for its high-pitched, chattering calls.
When to spot
Resident year-round. Active during the day. More easily located by its calls during the breeding season (spring-summer).
