Where to spot
Endemic to Príncipe Island, Gulf of Guinea, inhabiting montane and lowland forests, including disturbed areas.
How to spot
Look for it in the canopy and mid-story of forests, often visiting flowering trees. Its yellow belly and dark upperparts are useful identifiers. Listen for its varied calls.
When to spot
Active year-round, especially in the mornings and late afternoons when foraging.
