Endemic to the islands of Timor, Wetar, and other small islands in the Lesser Sundas, Indonesia. Inhabits forests and woodlands.
How to spot
Look for it feeding actively in flowering trees and shrubs, often in the mid-story. Its calls are often soft, high-pitched notes, requiring keen hearing.

Active year-round, particularly during flowering seasons when nectar is plentiful.
Despite its small size, it is a highly active feeder, darting rapidly between flowers to obtain nectar and small insects, crucial for its high metabolism.
