Where to spot
Found in the Andes of South America, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, inhabiting humid montane forests and dense secondary growth.
How to spot
Look for its overall olive-green color and the faint yellow supercilium. It is often elusive in dense cover, so patience and careful scanning are required. Listen for its simple calls.

Most active during the early morning and late afternoon. Resident throughout its range.
Despite its somewhat subdued plumage, the Yellow-browed Tanager is an active insectivore, constantly moving through the understory in search of prey.
