Where to spot
Found on numerous islands throughout the Solomon Islands archipelago, inhabiting forests, forest edges, and gardens.
How to spot
Look for small, active birds with a clear white eye-ring, moving swiftly through foliage, often in mixed-species flocks. Listen for their high-pitched, melodious warbling songs.
When to spot
Active year-round. Most visible during early morning and late afternoon when actively foraging.
This species is an excellent example of adaptive radiation, with various island populations showing subtle differences in plumage and size.
