Where to spot
Dense undergrowth of montane forests across the Himalayas, Southeast Asia, and parts of Indonesia and the Philippines.
How to spot
Look for it foraging low in the undergrowth, often flicking its tail. Its white eyebrow and orange breast are good field marks.
When to spot
Year-round resident in most areas. Most active in the early morning and late afternoon.
