Historically bred on St Helena Island in the South Atlantic Ocean. No living individuals exist.

Extinct. Only observable through historical records and fossil evidence.
This species went extinct primarily due to predation by introduced rats and cats shortly after human settlement, serving as a powerful example of the vulnerability of island endemics.
