Where to spot
Inhabits high-altitude forests and rocky areas in parts of Northeast India, northern Myanmar, and southwestern China.
How to spot
Requires challenging trekking in remote, dense forest habitats. Look for them along forest trails or in small open clearings; their calls can also indicate their presence.
When to spot
Best observed at dawn and dusk when they come out to forage in clearings or along forest edges.
