Mercier's Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus mercierii) is an extinct species of fruit-dove that was once endemic to the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. It was last definitively seen in the early 20th century.
Where to spot
Formerly inhabited the forests of Nuku Hiva and Ua Huka in the Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia. This species is no longer found anywhere.
