The Russet-browed Warbler is a small, active warbler with an olive-green back, yellowish underparts, and a prominent rufous (russet) supercilium (eyebrow) that contrasts with a dark eye-line.
Where to spot
Resident in the Andes Mountains of Peru and Bolivia.
How to spot
Look in humid montane forests, particularly in dense undergrowth and bamboo thickets. It can be elusive. Listen for its high-pitched, often accelerating song.
When to spot
Can be observed year-round within its resident montane forest habitats. More vocal during the local breeding season.
