The Pacific Parakeet is a medium-sized, entirely green parakeet found in western Central America, often considered a subspecies of the Green Parakeet complex.

Dry forests, savannas, agricultural areas, and suburban environments along the Pacific slope of Central America, from El Salvador to Nicaragua.

Listen for their loud, screeching calls as they fly in flocks. Look for them feeding in fruiting trees or perched conspiculously on bare branches.

Year-round. Most active in the early morning and late afternoon, and when flying to/from roosts.
