Critically endangered and restricted to a tiny area of humid Atlantic Forest in Alagoas state, northeastern Brazil.
How to spot
Requires extreme patience and specialized guidance in its very limited, protected habitat. Listen for its distinctive calls, as visual encounters are incredibly rare and require dedicated searching.
When to spot
Year-round resident, but exceptionally difficult to find. Best sought in early morning.
