The Meratus White-eye is a recently described species endemic to the Meratus Mountains of Borneo. This small bird features a pale iris and a distinctive white eye-ring against its olive-green plumage.
Where to spot
Known only from the montane forests of the Meratus Mountains in southeastern Borneo.

Search for small, active birds in the montane forest canopy. Its soft, high-pitched calls might give away its presence in dense foliage.

Active throughout the day, particularly during cooler parts of the morning and late afternoon.
