How to spot
Look for it in the mid-story of primary and mature secondary forests, often as part of mixed-species flocks. Learning its vocalizations is the most effective way to locate and identify this species.
When to spot

The Grey Antwren is known for its distinctive and frequently given song, a series of accelerating, high-pitched notes, which makes it one of the more easily detected antwrens in its range, despite its small size.
