Listen for its loud, repetitive 'ko-ta-ruk' or 'pok-a-lok' calls. Scan the mid to upper canopy of montane forests for its bright colors, especially the yellow throat.
When to spot
Year-round; most vocal during the breeding season (typically March to July). Best observed in the early morning.
