Spotted
The Dwarf White-eye is a species found on the Greater Sunda Islands. It is a very small white-eye, characterized by its prominent white eye-ring and greenish-yellow plumage.
Where to spot
Found on Sumatra, Java, and Borneo, inhabiting forests, forest edges, and cultivated areas, particularly in montane regions.
How to spot
Look for extremely small, active birds with a white eye-ring, moving rapidly through foliage. Their small size makes them inconspicuous, but their high-pitched calls can reveal their presence.
When to spot
Active year-round. Most visible during early morning and late afternoon when foraging.
Its diminutive size makes it one of the smallest members of the Zosterops genus, often hard to spot amongst dense foliage.
