The Cundinamarca Antpitta is a highly localized and critically endangered species, characterized by its rather plain brownish plumage and a subtle pale orbital ring.
Where to spot
Endemic to a very restricted area of humid montane cloud forests in the eastern Andes of Colombia (Cundinamarca department).
How to spot
Requires visiting specific protected forest fragments. Listening for its distinctive vocalizations is paramount, as it is extremely shy and difficult to spot.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Best sought during the early morning.
