The Bronzed Cowbird is a medium-sized, glossy black icterid, with males displaying an iridescent bronze-green sheen on their body and reddish eyes. Females are duller and dark brown. It is an obligate brood parasite.
Where to spot
Found from the southwestern United States south through Mexico and Central America to Panama. Inhabits open woodlands, savannas, agricultural areas, and suburban environments.
