The Blue-grey Tanager is an extremely common and widespread species across the Neotropics, known for its soft blue-grey plumage with brighter wing patches. It's often seen in urban areas.
Where to spot
Widespread across most of Central and South America, inhabiting a vast range of habitats from forest edges to gardens, parks, and urban areas.
How to spot
Look for it almost anywhere in its range, often at fruit feeders or on flowering trees. Its distinctive blue-grey plumage is easy to identify.
When to spot
Active year-round. Can be observed throughout the day, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.
