The Blue-eyed Cockatoo is a striking white cockatoo endemic to the island of New Britain, Papua New Guinea, distinguished by its prominent blue eye-ring.

Lowland rainforests and forest edges on New Britain and Umboi Island, Papua New Guinea.

Look for its entirely white plumage and, crucially, the distinctive bright blue bare skin around its eyes. It also has a short, yellow-tinged crest. Listen for its loud, raucous calls.

Active during the day, often seen flying over the canopy or perched high in trees. Observable year-round.
