How to spot
Look for its all-black plumage, bare dark head, and broad wings with white patches at the wingtips (visible from below). Flies with rapid wing beats interspersed with short glides.

Year-round. Easily observed during daylight hours, often seen soaring, perching on structures, or feeding on carrion.
