Where to spot
Dry acacia woodlands and thornbush in East Africa, specifically in a band from southeastern Ethiopia to northern Kenya and Somalia.

Look for the prominent black band across its breast. It is an active gleaner of insects, often moving quickly through acacia trees. Listen for its high-pitched, somewhat sibilant calls.
