A medium-sized apalis with uniform grey upperparts and pale whitish underparts, lacking any distinct markings or color patches.
Where to spot
Montane forests, particularly in the mid-strata and canopy, across East and Central Africa (e.g., Rwanda, Uganda, DRC, Kenya, Cameroon).
How to spot
Identification relies on its overall plain grey appearance and lack of other apalis markings. Listen for its high-pitched, often repetitive, and somewhat metallic song or calls.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Active throughout the day. Breeding is likely during the local wet season.
