Look for noisy flocks moving through the canopy of montane forests. Its bright turquoise head and wings, contrasting with its brown body, are key identifiers. Listen for its varied, often harsh, and sometimes mimic-like calls.
When to spot
Resident throughout its range, observable year-round. Most active during the day, particularly early mornings.
