Salvadori's Crimsonwing is a beautiful and somewhat secretive finch found in the highlands of East Africa. It is characterized by its duller crimson back and wings compared to other crimsonwings, with a grey head and olive underparts.
Where to spot
Distributed in the highlands of East Africa, from Ethiopia south to Malawi. Inhabits montane forests, bamboo thickets, and dense forest edges.
