The Yellow-green Tanager is a subtly colored species with olive-green upperparts and yellowish underparts. It is a more understated member of its vibrant genus.
Where to spot
Inhabits humid montane forests and cloud forests, primarily at moderate elevations in western Colombia and Ecuador.
How to spot
Patiently scan the mid-levels of trees. Its subtle coloration means you'll need to look closely to distinguish it from foliage.
When to spot
Active year-round. Best observed in the morning when it forages in the mid-story.
