How to spot
Look for it in the canopy of forests, orchards, and gardens, especially near mistletoe plants or fruiting trees. Its small size and quick movements require sharp eyes. The yellow rump is a key identifier.

Flowerpeckers are vital for seed dispersal of mistletoe, as they eat the sticky berries and then wipe their beaks on branches, effectively 'planting' the seeds.
