The White-fronted Ground-Tyrant is a distinctive large ground-tyrant of the high Andes, named for its striking white forehead. It has a dark grey back and white underparts.

Extremely high-altitude puna, rocky slopes, and barren areas in the central Andes, from central Peru south to Bolivia and Chile.

Identify it by its large size and prominent white forehead. Look for it walking or running on the ground, often among rocks. It frequently bobs its tail.

Year-round resident in its high-altitude range. Active during the day.
