The Tiny Tyrant-Manakin is an exceptionally small manakin, dull olive-green in color, found in the understory of humid lowland forests. It is often difficult to spot.

Humid lowland forests, especially dense understory, in the Amazon basin and parts of the Guianas.
How to spot
Its tiny size and cryptic plumage make it hard to see. Focus on listening for its characteristic, explosive 'whip-crack' calls, which are the primary way to locate it.

Year-round. Most active at dawn and dusk. Listen for its distinctive calls.
