Requires extreme patience and keen eyes within dense forest interiors. Listen for its high-pitched calls, as visual sightings are often fleeting glances of a bird darting through foliage.
When to spot
Observations are rare due to its elusiveness. Likely active during daylight hours, particularly in the early morning when it may be more vocal or active.
Despite its name, the Tiny Hawk is a formidable predator that primarily preys on small, fast-moving birds, demonstrating remarkable agility and speed for its size.
