Kozlov's Bunting is a rare and poorly known bunting species endemic to the remote mountains of the Tibetan Plateau in China. It is adapted to high-altitude, arid environments.
Where to spot
Endemic to the eastern Tibetan Plateau in China, found in high-altitude dry scrub, rocky slopes, and alpine meadows.
How to spot
Observation is very challenging due to its remote habitat. Look for it foraging on the ground among sparse vegetation. Note its relatively plain, streaky plumage.
When to spot
Can be observed during the breeding season (summer months) in its remote highland habitat. Little information on winter movements.
