Meek's White-eye is a species endemic to the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea. It is a small, greenish-yellow bird with a prominent white eye-ring, often found in lowland forests.

Found on several islands in the Bismarck Archipelago, Papua New Guinea, primarily in lowland forests and forest edges.
How to spot
Search for small, active birds in the forest canopy and mid-story, often in small groups. Their contact calls are often high-pitched and frequent.
When to spot
Active year-round, with peak foraging in the mornings and late afternoons.
Named after explorer Albert Stewart Meek, this species contributes to the high biodiversity and endemism found on the islands of the Bismarck Archipelago.
