Montane forests, often in mossy and damp areas, on Borneo (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei).
How to spot
Listen for its high-pitched, simple song emanating from dense undergrowth. Look for quick movements on the forest floor.
When to spot
Year-round resident. Most active vocally at dawn and dusk.
