Where to spot
Confined to Sulawesi and surrounding Indonesian islands, preferring forest edges, disturbed areas, and open woodlands.
How to spot
Locate by its distinctive vocalizations at night, which are often the first sign of its presence. Scan forest edges and clearings with a spotlight to catch sight of it on the ground or low perches.
