Where to spot
Endemic to the Horn of Africa, primarily found in Somalia and parts of Ethiopia and Kenya, preferring arid and semi-arid scrublands and acacia country.
How to spot
Scan acacia trees and rocky outcrops in their dry habitat. Their glossy plumage is a key identifier; listen for their chattering calls within a flock.
