The Socorro Parakeet is a medium-sized, entirely green parakeet endemic to Socorro Island, off the coast of Mexico. It is a distinct island species.
Where to spot
Endemic to Socorro Island, part of the Revillagigedo Islands, off the Pacific coast of Mexico.
How to spot
Observation requires travel to Socorro Island. Look for them feeding in the island's sparse vegetation. They are often quite vocal, making their calls a good way to locate them.
When to spot
Year-round. Most active during the day, foraging in small groups.
