The Sincorá Antwren is a recently described and highly localized species, endemic to the rocky scrublands of the Chapada Diamantina in Brazil. It is a small, inconspicuous bird.

Endemic to the campos rupestres (rocky fields) in the Chapada Diamantina region of Bahia state, eastern Brazil.
How to spot
Requires careful searching in the dense, stunted vegetation and rocky outcrops of its specific habitat. Listening for its unique vocalizations is often the most effective way to detect its presence.
